The 50 Points of Change article by Tom Woll is an excellent summary of learnings from a major multi-organizational integration project in Cleveland, Ohio. The "Lessons Learned" summary from the State of Missouri response to State Bill 595 that mandated collaboration among public and private service providers, schools, parents and other community organizations. It is interesting reading and very timely for those working on partnering with other organizations. Don't forget to check out the The Body of Leadership Skills written by Patty Sadallah. First, read the article, then take the quick check-up tests to assess your and your organizations health. The article looks at 11 aspects of the body: Eyes, Ears, Nose, Mouth, Neck, Heart, Shoulders, Brain, Hands ,Legs and Stomach as metaphors for effective leadership of change. Then don't forget your check-ups! The Organizational Check-Up assesses your organizations strengths and weaknesses for leading change, while the Leadership Check-Up assesses your personal strengths and weaknesses as a leader of change. The Success Factors article lists key actions necessary for effective collaboration. The Nonprofit Doctor, Bob Orser, shares his views on the key challenges facing non-profits in the Tidal Wave of Change article.
